A Memorandum of Understanding between Aquarii BD (Cambodia) Co Ltd and Indonesia Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (IndoCham) was signed at the latter’s office to formalize their collaboration.
Under the MOU agreement, both Aquarii and IndoCham agree to exchange information, ideas and views and jointly conduct activities where appropriate and practicable to help foreign businesses and investors have a better understanding of the investment and business environment in Cambodia. They have also committed to mutually promote each other’s platforms and to individually and collectively help address outdated perceptions of the Kingdom, and where possible to lower the trust deficit that foreign businesses and investors may have of the country and its pro-business policies.
Signing the MOU on behalf of Aquarii BD (Cambodia), Chief Executive Officer Mr Michael Tan said that the collaboration with IndoCham signals the start of the next phase of its strategic approach to build an ecosystem of trusted business linkages for the benefit of foreign investors and businesses considering to do business or invest in Cambodia. Aquarii will also be announcing strategic collaboration with other business chambers in the coming weeks, but as not all have the practice of signing MOUs, established ones with good track record that have agreed to support and work closely with Aquarii will have more information about them on its free access online business platform at www.aquariibd.com.
“We continue to identify like-minded and credible strategic partners such as IndoCham to complement and supplement Aquarii’s larger efforts help bridge outdated perception that foreign businesses and investors may have of Cambodia, as well as to enable and empower the larger business and investment community in Cambodia through its online business platform, advisory service and its diverse network of contacts, resource persons and various partners”, explains Tan.
Tan added that they are also taking time to carefully curate suitable service providers and businesses to work with, because foreign investors and businesses will have greater confidence and assurance to work with those that are formally identified as Aquarii’s preferred or referral partners.
Mr Dalton Wong, President of IndoCham and also the Chairman of Speed Wind Co Ltd and Massive Distributions Co Ltd, added that “IndoCham is the new kid on the block amongst the business chambers and associations, but we are always looking for the right sort of strategic partnerships that can help unlock new doors to business and investment opportunities, and expand our reach to a wider audience of businesses and investors. I believe this partnership with Aquarii is a win-win collaboration for both entities.”
IndoCham is a non-governmental, non-profit organization whose President and executive committee members were elected to office in September 2021. Business owners and executives from diverse sectors make up its membership. IndoCham’s core mission is to provide dedicated support and advocacy to its members – large and small, multinational and individual, Indonesian, Cambodian, and other nationalities – in fostering the success of legitimate business activities in the Kingdom.
