Seminar Background

This private sector-led business seminar, supported by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) and the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), aims to convene a diverse delegation of Cambodian and foreign established businesses in Cambodia to Singapore. The seminar intends to shed light on the latest developments in the Cambodian market, highlighting its potential and opportunities that may have been overlooked or dismissed by Singaporean and international businesses due to outdated perspectives and misinformation.

Seminar Objectives

Through this seminar, Singaporean and international participants will be able to:

  • Gain insights into Cambodia’s business climate, investment-friendly policies and comparative advantages, including its strategic location, tariff exemption incentives for manufacturing and export, and business-friendly national investment policies, as well as its youthful demography and other favorable socio-economic factors;
  • Learn about priority sectors and discover investment-ready projects;
  • Clarify misperceptions and concerns, address outdated perspectives, and access updated data and information on Cambodia’s priority sectors;
  • Connect and establish valuable contacts with successful Cambodian and foreign businesses operating in Cambodia;
  • Engage in a Q&A session to clarify concerns, challenges, and queries related to doing business or investing in Cambodia; and
  • Network and interact with the Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, along with their accompanying officials, who represent the dynamic younger leadership of the new mandate Royal Government of Cambodia.
