Business Overview
Established as an Incorporated Administrative Agency under the Act of the Incorporated Administrative Agency – Japan International Cooperation Agency (Act No. 136, 2002), JICA aims to contribute to the promotion of international cooperation as well as the sound development of Japanese and global economy by supporting the socioeconomic development, recovery or economic stability of developing regions.The Japan International Cooperation Ageny (JICA) established its office in Cambodia in 1993, but its activities in the country date back to 1965 when it first dispatched volunteers. JICA’s assistance such as strengthening the logistics network on both the hard and soft sides such as roads, ports, and procedure of customs on the Southern Economic Corridor, and comprehensive soft support such as developing human resources in industry is contributing to the activities of the private sector.
