Strategic Considerations
Cambodia will graduate from Least Developed Country (LDC) status in 2029, which will affect its current preferential access to EU markets under the EBA scheme. To prepare for this transition, the government is working on legal and policy reforms, building stronger production capabilities, and helping exporters reach new markets beyond the EU. These efforts aim to maintain trade competitiveness after graduation.
