Aquarii BD Cambodia was founded by Mr. Michael Tan, a former senior civil servant and the former Singapore Ambassador to Cambodia from June 2016 to December 2020.

As a former senior civil servant and Singapore’s Ambassador to Cambodia (2016–2020), Michael upholds the high standards of integrity and professionalism for which the Singapore civil service is known.

With over two decades of experience in leadership roles, Michael has developed a strong reputation both locally and internationally. His network spans government, business, and civil society, providing valuable insights into a wide range of issues. His ability to blend diplomacy with business acumen allows him to excel in market strategy, analysis, and communication. Michael’s deep understanding of Cambodia’s business environment, local practices, and cultural nuances enables him to guide businesses and investors through challenges and formulate effective strategies.

Since 2021, Michael has also served as an Advisor to the Board of Khmer Enterprise, a government agency focused on supporting start-ups and SMEs in Cambodia. In addition, he provides informal advice to several office holders on a range of matters in his personal capacity.
